I am but the pond that reflects the light. And like the pond, I am filled by it, though I am not the one that the light seeks to shine upon. I am honored, and humbled, to be that which reflects the light, and I know that the light shall come when it is time, not before. I am but the pond; I cannot ask the light to shine upon me, to either fill me or to shine upon another. When the time is right, the light shall come, in the manner it most needs. I am grateful that I have been chosen to reflect the light for those around me that the light has chosen to shine upon. And should I never reflect it again, I shall cherish the moments when I had, and know that I have been touched by that which is beyond this mortal world. |
